How should I title my living trust?

When it comes to titling your living trust, it's common to use a clear and descriptive name that accurately reflects the purpose of your trust. Typically, the name of your living trust will include your own name, the word "trust," and the date you created the trust. For example, "John Doe Living Trust Dated January 1, 2023."

You may also want to include additional information in the title if it helps to clarify the purpose of the trust. For instance, if the trust is primarily intended to manage your assets for the benefit of your children, you might consider adding "Family Trust" to the name.

For privacy purposes, some people prefer to anonymize the title of their trust and exclude their personal name. For example, "AGC 2023 Trust". Our Dynasty Advantage plan allows you to title your trust any way you want.

If you want to change the name of an existing trust, it's important to keep in mind that you will need to update the title of any assets already titled in the name of your trust.
